Cookie Co. Georgetown now offers Brookwood gift items in Georgetown

Cookie Co. Georgetown has partnered with local nonprofit Brookwood in Georgetown (BiG) to sell products made by BiG citizens.

In addition to picking up a treat from Cookie Co., Georgetown customers can now buy something special for a family member, friend, or even a furry family member.

“At the moment, we only have a handful of fun products,” franchise owner and operator Beverly Querin told Hello Georgetown. “We have gluten-free dog treats. Many of our customers have their furry friends with them when they come to the cookie shop, so now they can also give them a treat in addition to cookies for themselves. We also have foaming hand soaps in four varieties and cute bracelets. We also have LARGE greeting cards which is a great idea when giving away cookies – one stop shopping.

Querin said she connected with BiG at an event hosted by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce. Touched by their mission, she wanted to share the wonderful products that Citizens create.

“[I] I fell in love with what they do for the community of adult citizens with special needs – and I was also impressed with the quality of their products,” Querin said. “So I thought it would be a great partnership to offer some of their products here at Cookie Co in Summit Rivery, as a convenient way for people to pick up a gift or something for themselves if they don’t. weren’t downtown or hadn’t heard of BIG yet. Here at Cookie Co, we want to be immersed and part of the larger Georgetown community, so this seemed like a good fit.

The products are also a great way for customers to learn more about the mission and work of nonprofits, Querin said.

“Honestly, they look great in our lobby and are another conversation starter when customers walk in,” Querin said. “It’s a great way to share the BiG story.”

Cookie Co. Georgetown is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Located at 1500 Rivery Blvd in Georgetown, they offer four flavors of gourmet cookies that are locally made and baked daily. Follow them on Facebook or Instagram to see their weekly rotating flavors.
