Dates for Easter food delivery slots at Tesco, M&S, Asda, Aldi and more

Easter isn’t just chocolate eggs wrapped in foil. This is often a time for families to get together and enjoy a roast dinner, followed by some hot rolls and an egg hunt.

And you don’t want to be at the supermarket at 9:45 p.m. the previous Saturday because you forgot to book a delivery slot.

Easter Sunday this year falls on April 17, 2022 – just six and a half weeks away – although a later date than usual as it is the first Sunday following the first ecclesiastical full moon (known as the name ‘paschal’) after the spring equinox, reports Liverpool Echo.

Although the pandemic is almost behind us, many shoppers still want to shop online, which is why it’s probably a good idea to book your Easter delivery slot early.

Whether you’re looking to stock up on delicious Easter eggs, craving hot rolls for a tasty snack, or cooking up a roast dinner for family and friends, you can find a range of seasonal products perfect for your celebrations.


Here’s everything you need to know about when major supermarket chains including Tesco, Aldi, Waitrose, Marks and Spencer and more will open bookings for this year’s Easter celebrations.


Tesco’s Easter delivery slots will open earlier for customers signed up to its Delivery Saver service. Slots for these customers will open on March 15 at 6am.

For all other customers, reservations will be open from 6am on March 22. The deadline for all reservations will be Saturday April 16, subject to availability.

Tesco also offers plenty of Easter treats, from staples like Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs, to delicious new products such as Cadbury Dairy Milk Orange Mini Eggs and a Kit Kat Chunky Biscoff Egg.


Waitrose’s home delivery slots follow the same principles as the supermarket’s daily slot model, and customers can book a slot up to 25 days in advance.

This means that slots for delivery on Good Friday (April 15) will be bookable from March 21, and Easter Saturday delivery times will be visible online from March 22.

As the supermarket will be closed on Easter Sunday, the last delivery day before Easter will be Easter Saturday. Home deliveries will resume on Easter Monday.

Time slots can book up quickly during peak periods, but if you’ve left things to the last minute, don’t worry, as you can order up until 7pm the day before your order is delivered, subject to of availability.

Marks and Spencer

M&S has renamed one of the candy packs it sells

Marks and Spencer will offer delivery of its Easter food gifts from March 29.

The gift range includes Percy Pig and Colin the Caterpillar gift bags, which include a range of chocolates and sweets, an Easter egg hunt kit and a themed bag.

Marks and Spencer also offers luxurious Belgian milk chocolate eggs, including one decorated with a striking floral design. The range of M&S Easter treats can all be delivered until Easter weekend – and beyond in some cases – subject to availability.


Aldi has yet to announce when customers can book their Easter delivery slots, but how far in advance you need to order will likely depend on the delivery option you choose.

Aldi’s standard delivery takes three to five working days to arrive, standard opening of large items can take two to seven working days, while the next day delivery option can help stock up on last-minute items. minute.


Co-op customers can continue to use the supermarket’s on-demand grocery delivery service as usual during the Easter period, with no specific Easter slots going live. Shoppers can order online and reserve a slot up to five days in advance, with orders being fulfilled within two hours.


Those looking to do their Easter shopping at Asda will be able to get a slot when they open on March 31. Customers can choose the date and time they prefer, but should not delay as slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. .

Buyers will also be able to change their delivery up until the time indicated on their order confirmation email, which is usually the day before delivery.



Those looking to order from Iceland over Easter will have to wait a bit longer to find out when they can get one, as the supermarket has yet to announce when its Easter home delivery slots will open this year.


Morrisons has yet to reveal when customers will be able to access the Easter delivery slots, although in previous years the supermarket has published these weeks in advance and they are usually sold out quickly.

Those registered with Morrisons’ Delivery Pass service can usually see available slots up to 21 days in advance, while all other customers can see available slots for the next seven days.


Lidl doesn’t currently offer a home delivery service, but there are plenty of seasonal treats to be found in store, from delicious chocolate treats to whatever you need for your Easter roast dinner.


Sainsbury’s has yet to reveal when its Easter delivery slots will be available.

However, the supermarket chain offers a Delivery Pass service for customers, which allows them to see slots further in advance and have priority at peak times, so these shoppers can be the first to know.
