Flavor Paper adds mesmerizing new designs to its Fempower collection

Freelance Wallpaper Favorites flavor paper has just launched two new designs that join their female power collection of papers designed “exclusively by women to celebrate women”. The latest creations – rock candy and Cancan – comes from Amanda Wachobfamous multidisciplinary artist best known for her innovative tattoos, and Liz Collins, a dynamic multimedia artist we featured in our 2020 article on 10 female designers shaping the future of design. If you know the work of either artist, you will see how it is a natural translation of wallcoverings. Although very different, both models have that visual appeal that will make you look closer.

Rock Candy – Meteorite on shiny gold mylar

Without a doubt, Amanda Wachob rock candy the wallpaper rocks with its ethereal metallic design. Offered in three colorways, Rock Candy is screen printed with real crystal powders mixed directly into the ink and delivered to the paper with a drip and splatter pattern. The Meteorite design includes Pallasite Meteorite + Rose Quartz, Aura Fluorite has Aquamarine + Fluorite, and Pyrite includes Pyrite + Black Tourmaline, each with added glitter for good measure and sparkle. If Rock Candy doesn’t make you feel like you’re walking through the center of a geode, nothing will.

Can Can Red

by Liz Collins Cancan the design offers an energetic pattern resembling puffy fabric in four colorways – Red, Silver, Bronzer and Mint. The two-dimensional design is based on an actual Collins sculpture created from a fine silk textile (see below). The idea was to “transform the visual vocabulary of cartography into the abstract language of art” with browsing sequences of woven and non-woven strips that hang in loops of fabric. Perfect for someone looking to add some much needed drama to their bare space. It’s a mural, which means it can be customized to fit even a solid wall. Go big and bold or go home (to your possibly dull space 😉
