Oregon State Parks Annual Parking Permits Get New Models and Are $ 5 in December

SALEM, Ore. (KTVZ) Spice up your holiday gifts this season by choosing from three new parking permit models. New license hang tag designs feature the whimsical work of Portland artist El Tran. Holiday shoppers can purchase the annual parking permits for just $ 25 each, which is $ 5 off the regular price of $ 30, December 1-31.

“Give the gift of unlimited access to Oregon State Parks during our 100e anniversary in 2022, ”said Lisa Sumption, director of the Oregon Department of Parks and Recreation. “The new permit designs feature iconic views of the park, plants and animals, as well as visitors who treasure state parks.”

Buying passes is easy – buy them online at store.oregonstateparks.org. Parking permits are also sold at select Friends of the State Park Group stores and select local businesses statewide. For a full list of providers, visit stateparks.oregon.gov.

Parking is $ 5 per day at 25 state parks in Oregon, unless you have a 12- or 24-month parking permit or same-day camping receipt. The 24 month pass costs $ 50 and is also available at store.oregonstateparks.org. Permits are transferable from vehicle to vehicle.

Oregon State Parks are primarily funded by camping and day use fees, the Oregon Lottery, and a portion of the state’s recreational vehicle registrations.
