Vegan gift basket delivery debuts in Canada

Canadian company FAIR / SQUARE this week launched the country’s first vegan gift basket delivery service. Each basket is filled with vegan items made in Canada, such as chocolates, fair trade tea, and vegan skin care products, which customers can order with a personal note attached. “The vegan options at regular gift basket companies are often below par and consist of little more than a variety of dried fruit at an inflated price,” said FAIR / SQUARE founder Katharina Otulak. “We want to show that vegan gifts aren’t just limited to dried dates and figs. “Customers can choose from 14 themed baskets such as” Chocolate Lover XL (loaded with 10 chocolate flavored items such as bars, crisps, peels and teas), “Housewarming” (which includes tea towels, soy candles, coasters and soaps) and the “Gluten Free Breakfast” (including granola, crackers, pancake mixes and teas). In the United States, companies such as The Vegan Store have a range of vegan gift baskets that can be ordered in time for the holidays.
